Ohh sweet baby. We probably all have different “why’s” but photographing early stages is so sacred to me.
The new parent experience varies drastically. Whether you’re “in it” with a negative or positive connotation, you deserve to be documented.
Honestly- my journey into motherhood was dark, and I now feel ok admitting that because I realize how common it is and that it wasn’t my fault. Because of this, my approach to early stages and family photography is led by intuition and a lot of grace. My goal is your comfort so you can feel like you had a peaceful moment to enjoy 💗

I love these sweet moments with you, and I feel so honored to be invited into your homes to turn these foggy memories into art.

Cousins 🥰 pretty special to do a photoshoot for MY family! The girls had the greatest time planning way too many outfits and hair and poses and I got the greatest smiles by telling them to whisper the silliest words they could think of to each other. Lots of farts and butts were mentioned Obviously and fun was had by all 🥰

I would love for this session with my family to be an example of “there doesn’t have to be a plan. It will be ok.”

To be honest I got a little nervous because I hadn’t done formal photos for them before, it was later in the day than we wanted (like literally NOON in Texas in the summer), I had to wait 10 minutes for my lenses to acclimate to the humidity and everyone was melting and hungry.

We threw a chair in the middle of the backyard and played (with direction of course). That was it 🙂 and it was perfect.

Your family is enough, your home is enough, and your kids don’t need to stand still and “cheeeeese” at the camera. Actually I’d prefer that they don’t! It’ll be great. Promise 😘

Steven and Katie got married yesterday in front of family and friends. There was SO much love, joy, and support coming from all across the country- somehow it rained and the sun still shined during their vows 🥹🥰 the perfect day!

I read something a few days ago that really stuck with me- “your kids can’t inherit your iCloud” (guilty!!) I mean, I’m sure technically they could but that’s beside the point. I LOVE that we can share our photos online and I love that we have these gorgeous platforms to create with… but Print your photos. Hold them in your hands, enjoy them at family gatherings!

When we were in TX this summer, my daughter and niece finally showed interest in OUR childhood photos (my brother and I are twins) and we had the best time watching them giggle through our old memories going “omg that’s your dad!” “That’s your MOM!!”

I want that for our kids. And for their kids. And it’s up to us to make that happen 😘 Don’t let your photos die a slow sad death as files on your computer that change format compatibility over time. Print them! 🙏
