“Running from Squatch” will be hosting their event at Fellows lake this Saturday, Sept. 19. Several of the north-side trails will be impacted throughout the day as multiple routes pass through the area.

Running From Squatch - Springfield, MO The Running From Squatch - Springfield, MO is on Saturday September 19, 2026 to Tuesday September 22, 2026. It includes the following events: Squatch-Fecta, Half-Marathon, 10k Run, 5k, 1 Mile, and Virtual Event.

The trails at Fellows Lake offer a great ride for cyclists of all ages.

The shaded paths are perfect for all riders and the lake’s trail system gives riders a reliable place to get outside and stay active.

Sunset is one of the best times to experience Fellows Lake.

Whether you’re wrapping up a day on the water or stopping by just to take in the view, the Fellows Lake sunset is something you can't get anywhere else.

Fellows Lake offers waterfowl hunting opportunities right here in Springfield, and applications for the 2026–27 managed hunts open September 1.

Missouri residents can apply September 1st through 30th, with six hunt periods available, including options for disabled hunters.

Draw results will be posted online mid October, and selected applicants can bring up to three hunting partners.

These managed hunts help balance recreation and conservation while giving residents a chance to enjoy the outdoors close to home.

🌚Fellows Lake Store🌚

Just a reminder that if you are attending our upcoming Moonlight Paddle on Saturday August 29th, registration is required.

Yes, you can paddle almost any lake at nighttime, but what makes Fellows Lake Paddle different is there are no motorboats allowed, which means a safe and relaxing atmosphere. Don't forget to dress up the paddle craft you bring with as many lights as you want.
If you forget your lights, we will have Fairy Lights for sale at the store. $5.00 each.

The Springfield Astronautical Society will be out here star gazing and will be open to the public. While that is free to attend you still must register online.
This is so we know who is in the park and for the safety of all of our participants.

Summer days at Fellows Lake go by fast and this view is worth spending time outside. Whether you’re on the water or exploring the hikes, now’s the time to enjoy everything the lake has to offer.

Update: The tree has been removed from Uncle Frank’s Trail at Fellows Lake! Crews are finishing up ground cleanup today, and the trail is expected to reopen tomorrow, Aug. 18.

A large tree is down on Uncle Frank’s Trail at Fellows Lake. Crews will begin removing the tree on Monday, Aug. 17, and the impacted section of Uncle Frank’s Trail will be closed while the work is underway.

Please avoid the closed area and use caution around the trail until the tree has been removed. We’ll let you know when the trail reopens.

!!Fellows Lake Store!!

ATTENTION:
Due to the extremely high temperatures over this weekend, the Fellows Lake Marina Store will not be doing any paddle craft rentals in the afternoons until Monday. But we will be renting our Motorized Boats, so you can still try and get your fishing on!

If you are coming out to play at the Hatch Playground or hiking and biking, don't forget we have a variety of snacks, ice cream and cold beverages in our store as well as air conditioning. Feel free to come take a break and hang out with our Fellows Lake crew for as long as you need to.

You won’t miss the entrance to Miller Park at Fellows Lake! We look forward to welcoming you out to enjoy the trails, water and all the services the park has to offer.

Fellows Lake is one of Springfield’s favorite spots for fishing and paddling.

Before you head out, please remember you need a valid Missouri fishing permit.
