Every 5th Sunday at Risen Church is Missions Sunday! It's one of our favorite days as we get to hear updates from our mission partners in both Papua New Guinea and the Netherlands.

They both provided exciting updates about life and how the Lord is working in these places, and also offered ways we can better pray for them during this season.

3 John 5-8 teaches us why we are to love believers, how to love and why we are to love other believers: for the sake of the name.

On Saturday, May 16th, we are joining the Van Der Merwe's in prayer for the Lord's plans, direction, and provision as they prepare to plant a church in Eindhoven.

We will have a few members from both Risen North and Risen Northwest actually in Eindhoven with Henty and Sophia praying and walking through the city. We'll send a prayer guide to help you guide your prayers on Friday! So be on the lookout for that in your inboxes.

This past Sunday, we finished our study of 2 John. Sean preached on how we are to love one another and on the abundance of joy in our heavenly Father.

Happy Mother's Day to all our moms at Risen Church.

To the mom, who stayed up all night with a sick child.
The grandmother, raising her grandchildren.
The stepmom, who stepped in and loved without hesitation.
The foster mom, who opened her home and loves those children.
The woman, who longs to be a mother and carries that quietly.
The spiritual mother, who prayed, poured into our lives, and showed up.

All forms of motherhood are vital for our lives and spiritual growth.

We also hold close those for whom today feels tender. If this day brings grief, longing, or complicated feelings, you are seen, you are loved, and we will be here to help carry you through today.
