Today we celebrate Esther and her 2 year anniversary with Calderas Counseling 🌿

Esther, thank you for your care, tender warmth, and the steady support you bring to our clients and team. We are grateful for your dedication, your professionalism, and the energy you bring into this space each day.

The work we do is deeply meaningful, and it takes compassionate, thoughtful people to help create an environment where others feel safe, seen, and supported. We are grateful to celebrate this milestone with you and are thankful to have you as part of the Calderas Counseling team. đź’›

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Mental health shapes how we think, feel, connect, and move through our lives—and it deserves your attention.

When you take time to care for yourself, you create more clarity, more steadiness, and more emotional capacity.

You respond instead of react.
You communicate more clearly.
You show up more fully—for yourself and for the people around you.

Investing in your mental health is not extra—it’s foundational.

It influences your relationships, your decisions, and your overall well-being.

This month is a reminder to pause and ask yourself:
What do I need right now?

And to honor the answer—with intention, support, and care.

There’s a lot of intention behind the space we hold here.

I’m looking for a therapist who feels connected to this work—someone thoughtful, mindful, and committed to continuing their own growth so they can show up fully for the people they support.

This is a team that values presence, care, and the way we show up for one another just as much as the work itself.

If this feels aligned for you, I would love to connect.

To apply, please email your resume, cover letter, and three professional references to:

We’ll be here tonight, and we would love to see you.

Events like this remind us how important it is to come together as a community—to support one another, to be present, and to bring awareness to mental health in a meaningful way. Su***de awareness is a tender topic, and spaces like this create connection, understanding, and support.

At Calderas Counseling, we care deeply about showing up for our community—especially when it comes to mental and emotional well-being. Being part of moments like this matters to us.

What truly makes a difference is paying attention. Taking care of ourselves so we have the capacity to notice when something shifts in someone else—and the courage to be there.

Come walk with us. You don’t have to do this alone.

We had the opportunity to attend the Tomball ISD Mental Health & Wellness Fair, and I’m grateful we were able to be there and connect with our community.

I got to meet students, families, and educators, and have conversations around mental health, support, and what it looks like to take care of ourselves in a practical way. Being in spaces like this is important—it’s how we continue to bring awareness, offer support, and meet people where they are.

Thank you to for putting this together and for the intention behind creating something that supports our community. I’m grateful to be part of it.

I also had copies of my book, Healing Is Within You, available and was able to share the message that we are all worthy of healing, no matter our past.

We’re excited to be attending the Tomball ISD Mental Health & Wellness Fair today. It’s a meaningful opportunity to connect with students, families, and our community, and to be present in a space that prioritizes mental health and well-being.

Thank you to Tomball ISD for putting this event together. We’re honored to be part of a community that values care, connection, and growth, and we’re looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces later today. Come join us and say hello.

founder of Calderas Counseling, will also have copies of her book, Healing Is Within You, available and will be signing them at the event. It’s a guide for women who are ready to understand their past, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with clarity and self-trust.

When the world feels heavy, divided, or unsafe, those feelings don’t stay outside of us. They settle into our bodies, our thoughts, and our relationships. Anxiety can grow louder. Depression can deepen. Anger can feel like the only way to protect ourselves from feeling hurt, powerless, or unseen.

Many people are carrying more than they realize—frustration from not being understood, exhaustion from constant tension, and fear about what comes next. Anger often isn’t the problem; it’s a signal. A sign that something inside needs care, regulation, and understanding. And anxiety and depression aren’t weaknesses—they’re responses to prolonged stress, disconnection, and overwhelm.

When Dr. King spoke about love, he spoke about a choice—a way of responding to pain that doesn’t harden us further. Love is what interrupts cycles of reactivity. It allows space for difficult emotions without letting them take over. It creates room for dignity, humanity, and connection, even when disagreement, grief, or anger are present.

At Calderas Counseling, we see how choosing love begins internally—learning to respond to yourself with patience, to regulate before reacting, and to create boundaries that protect your wellbeing. Supporting mental health means helping people find steadiness amid uncertainty and reconnect with their sense of dignity and humanity, even in divided times.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, angry, numb, or tired of carrying it alone, support is available. You don’t have to navigate this on your own.
