Hey everyone - Penn State Extension asked if I'd share this with our community.

They're putting together a statewide survey about water resources in Pennsylvania. Things like drinking water, agriculture, streams, ponds, water testing, and stormwater. They want to know what people actually want to see more education and resources on, and your answers will help shape what they offer going forward.

It takes about 10 minutes. As a thank-you, you'll get 25% off one of their water-related online courses, and you'll be entered to win some Penn State Creamery ice cream (never a bad thing).

What an incredible day! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the Grand Reopening of the Freight House and our USA 250th Anniversary Festival this past Saturday.

To everyone who attended, thank you for exploring the newly restored Freight House and museum, meeting our local vendors, and spending the afternoon relaxing with family and neighbors. We hope you had a wonderful time.

Parking for Saturday's Freight House Festival 🚗

We'll have two parking areas for the event, both first come, first served:

📍 Lots B & C – off Clematis St, on the grass near the museum building. Plug "900 Clematis St, Sinking Spring" into your GPS. Volunteers will be on site to help direct traffic. These lots are less than 300 ft from the festival.

📍 Lot A – off Woodrow Ave, in the back of the Railroad House restaurant lot. Once you turn in, continue straight back toward the park.

♿ Accessible parking is available behind the Freight House building.

Exciting news, Sinking Spring! 🦅

We just got word that SWOOP, the official mascot of the Philadelphia Eagles, will be making an appearance at the Freight House Grand Reopening Festival on Saturday, September 19th!

Join us as we celebrate the grand reopening of the Freight House at 900 Clematis Street, with festival festivities taking place next door at the community park, 800 Ruth St, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Expect local vendors, food, music, and now a visit from SWOOP himself!

It's completely FREE and open to everyone. Grab your friends, family, and neighbors and come make a day of it. The more, the merrier!

Heads up, Sinking Spring! Because of Monday's Labor Day holiday, this week's trash and recycling collection will run one day behind schedule. Please have your cans out Wednesday evening for pickup on Thursday! Thanks for your patience!

Borough offices will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of the holiday and will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday (8 AM to 4 PM).
