We always enjoy seeing the students' creativity come to life through these rain barrels!
This year was especially tough to judge, every single barrel was so detailed and creative.

This World Bee Day, small actions can make a big impact:
🌼 Plant native flowers that bloom from spring through fall
❌ Skip or limit pesticide use
🌿 Leave a small patch of your yard a little “wild”
💧 Add a shallow water source for pollinators

What’s the problem? 💧
Right here in Berks County, parts of the Oysterville Creek watershed have been altered over time, impacting how water flows through the land.
When streams are pushed out of their natural path, it can lead to:
👉 Erosion
👉 Damages to water quality
👉 Habitat loss for wildlife
We walked the site with David Osgood to see firsthand what’s happening and why restoration is so important.
This is exactly why projects like this matter, not just for today, but for the future of Berks County’s environment.
