It turns out Abiy is the better choice for the country.

PM Abiy Ahmed Ali have done a wonderful job—one that would be exemplary to any nation worldwide.
But developments must be designed and implemented carefully. It should be real development, not gentrification. Local people must be able to stay in their neighborhoods.
Here in the United States, Black people are often suspicious of housing, infrastructure, and other developments because, based on repeated experience, most of these so‑called improvements come with the displacement of Black communities. They don't even call them developments—they call them gentrifications. For example, once‑renowned Black city DC pushed Black residents into one corner: Southeast.
