Thanks to SOAR! donors, smiles are springing up at the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters!
Thanks to a generous $50,000 grant received from Support Our Aging Religious (SOAR!), the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa purchased a gently used, wheelchair-accessible van that has made a difference in the daily lives of our Sisters. This vehicle has enhanced our ability to provide safe, reliable, and dignified transportation for community members with mobility challenges. The van has been used to transport Sisters to congregation gatherings, medical appointments, community activities, and to personal family events, allowing Sisters with limited mobility to remain fully engaged in the relationships that enrich their lives. The Congregation is deeply grateful for the financial support that made this purchase possible and for the continued partnership from SOAR! that helps us meet the evolving needs of our aging population. The St. Dominic Villa community shared, “Spring has sprung! Thanks to our Congregation and SOAR!, our Villa Sisters have used the van to get out and about. What a delight to travel this beautiful countryside. Come visit us! We’ll share our carousing with you!”

"Do not be upset if things are not as you would want them to be for a very long time to come. Do the little you can very peacefully and calmly so as to allow room for the guidance of God in your lives. Do not worry about the rest."
- Saint Louise de Marillac
Today is the Feast Day of Saint Louise de Marillac, the co-founder of the Daughters of Charity with Vincent de Paul.
Her words remind us: we don’t need to do everything. We are only asked to do the little we can, and to leave the rest in God’s hands.
Where is God inviting you to trust Him more today?

From Global Sisters Report: In Missouri, sisters from four different congregations are living side by side, sharing their traditions and charisms and building community.
At this Missouri motherhouse, sisters from 4 congregations coexist As congregations across the United States look to liquidate unused facilities or find a new way to put them to use, intercongregational living is happening more and more often.
