Excuse the dramatics, but we’re excited to share that we are expanding our Personal Supports Services!
For years, we’ve provided supports to adults, helping individuals build skills, increase independence, and live meaningful lives in their communities. That commitment remains strong, and our impact is growing.
We are now providing services to youth ages 13 and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build essential life skills, strengthen independence, and prepare for the transition to adulthood.

Happy 36th Anniversary to the ADA! 🎉
Today marks 36 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law, a milestone that reshaped access, inclusion, and opportunity for millions of Americans with disabilities.
Everyone deserves access to care, community, and opportunities, regardless of their abilities. While we celebrate the progress made, we also recognize there is still work to do.
How has the ADA impacted your life or community?

For more than 50 years, the Rock Creek Foundation has worked alongside individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs across Maryland to help them live independently in their own homes and communities, not in institutions.
For 27 years, the Olmstead decision has helped protect the right of people with disabilities to live, work, and receive services in integrated community settings based on their needs. The recent memo from the U.S. Department of Justice has called those protections into question. This has created fear and uncertainty about the future of disability rights and community-based services.
We've seen firsthand what community-based care makes possible: people gaining employment, living with dignity, staying connected to family, and avoiding the hospitalizations and crises that institutional isolation can produce.
To be clear, the Rock Creek Foundation stands firmly behind the right of every person with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives in their community. We remain fully committed to the people we serve and will keep fighting for the rights, independence, and dignity of people with disabilities.
