Here’s one of the biggest things that helps kids become readers 📚

They grow up around books.

Not just books on a shelf they can’t touch. Books they can reach. Books they see every day. Books that feel like part of normal life.

Building strong readers usually starts long before they read independently. It starts with routines, access, and seeing reading modeled at home.

A few simple ways to encourage a love of reading:
✔ Read together consistently
✔ Keep books easy to grab
✔ Let kids see you reading too
✔ Follow their interests, even if it’s graphic novels or silly stories
✔ Keep reading positive and pressure-free

Little moments add up over time 🤍

Save this for the days you need the reminder.

Reading isn’t just about sounding out words. It’s how kids learn to understand themselves and others. 💛

When your child reads, they’re:
• seeing new perspectives
• naming big emotions
• building empathy
• practicing problem-solving

And those are skills they’ll use for life.

Even just 10–15 minutes of reading a day can make a real difference. Keep it simple. Keep it consistent. 📚
