This afternoon, our officers took the individual (Gregory Jackson) responsible for throwing the drink at a Dairy Queenemployee into custody.

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who shared the video and provided information. Community partnerships matter, and today is another example of what can happen when we work together.

Here’s your friendly reminder: If your order is wrong, ask for a manager, not an assault charge.

Our community deserves better, and so do the hardworking employees who show up every day to serve others.

To the Dairy Queen employee: We hope this brings you some peace of mind.

As always, thank you to our officers and detectives for their quick work in identifying the suspect and bringing this case to a swift resolution.

Like many of you, we’ve seen the incident that occurred at Dairy Queen involving an employee being struck with a drink.

Our officers and detectives wasted no time getting to work. We can confirm that the suspect has been identified, and criminal charges are pending.

Here’s a friendly reminder: It’s okay to be frustrated. It’s okay to ask for a manager. It’s okay to request your order be fixed.

It’s never okay to assault someone who is simply doing their job.

We appreciate everyone who has reached out with information and trusted us to handle the investigation. Thank you for allowing our team the time to do what they do best.

To the employee involved we’re with you.

K9 Rocky had an important assignment today🐾

He got to meet Troop 1294, and let’s just say they passed the sniff inspection. 🐶😂

The troop had some awesome questions, gave Rocky plenty of attention (which he definitely believes he deserves), and learned more about what K9 teams do to help keep our community safe.

Rocky would like everyone to know he worked very hard today… by accepting pets, posing for pictures, and being the goodest officer on duty. 🦴🐕

Thank you, Troop 1294, for spending time with us! We hope we inspired a few future officers or at the very least, a few future K9 treat suppliers. 💙🚔

We can’t thank Kaitlyn Ross enough for sharing JerryLee’s story and helping shine a light on K9 officers everywhere who dedicate their lives to protecting others and performing selfless acts every single day.
