Coffee By Design will be open as usual during the East Bayside Trail Fest this Sunday, June 28.

Please note: There will be a brief road closure around 8:30 AM as the bike ride and 10K get underway. Access to the end of Diamond Street and a portion of Fox Street will be temporarily restricted for approximately 30 minutes around that time.

Today we recognize Juneteenth, a day honoring freedom, resilience, and Black history, while also reflecting on the work still ahead.

Coffee is deeply connected to people, place, and history. Much of the coffee industry has been shaped by Black and Brown farmers, producers, and communities whose labor, knowledge, and leadership continue to shape the future of coffee. Here in Maine, we’re also reminded of the artists, organizers, and community partners doing the work of building a more connected and equitable future.

Today, we take time to reflect, learn, honor and support the resilience, joy, and contributions of Black communities. We encourage you all to do the same.

Pride Parade Day is almost here 🌈

On June 20, Portland Pride kicks off at Monument Square and makes its way to Deering Oaks Park. Whether you’re marching, cheering, or showing up in support, we hope to see you there celebrating community, joy, and Pride 💛

Join us for a livestream watch party of Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the concert livestream running 7:30–9 PM. The coffeehouse will be open beforehand with limited offerings, and we’ll have song handouts available so everyone can sing along and take part in the evening.
