I’m Tom, an author and illustrator of books for children. I have two picture books that I’ve written and illustrated on the horizon: “The Wand and the Woods” with (coming Fall 2026) , and “Cub and Bear” with (coming Spring 2027). Coming this October 6th, “The Wand in the Woods.” For one young child, the discovery of a glowing wand with which she can wave away her chores illuminates the simple pleasure of doing things on her own, mindfully.

Lee Wade at Random House Studio has acquired Tom Booth’s wordless picture book, Cub and Bear, in which a determined bear cub and patient papa search for berries, but after being thwarted again and again, the little cub finally discovers his roar and a sweet reward. Publication is planned for summer 2027; Rick Richter at Aevitas Creative Management sold world rights.
