I prefer the big outdoors over inside any-day.
This life, the one I’ve been given, the one I stay curious about and deeply grateful for, has taught me how to really see. As I move through the world, I notice more, feel more, and appreciate the quiet details that shape the journey. I’ve been fortunate enough to open 22 restaurants in Orange County, California, and to live among many cultures, learning from mentors, communities, and lifestyles that have expanded my understanding of connection. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with what Mother Nature offers in her raw, unfiltered beauty because she reminds me of what’s real.
We are living in a new world right now. The way I move through it, breathe it in, and stay present matters deeply to me, especially as I continue my peer recovery work at MBH, grow my jewelry business, and honor my innate ability to fall and rise again, no matter the obstacles. What I hope to share, more than anything, is the power of connection, compassion, and truly listening to one another’s lived experiences. When we do that, even gently, we make room to breathe, and we move through this life a little easier, together.

We are almost completely out of tents and sleeping bags and as the nights and mornings start to get colder, our requests for basic essentials for those living without shelter are rolling in fast.
Homelessness can affect anyone. We see requests for individuals of all ages, couples, families, people who have lived in Maine their whole lives, those who are newly arrived, veterans, etc. We are all vulnerable to the circumstances that can lead to a lack of shelter. So let's all dig in and help one another so we can keep building a safety net for all of us.
If you can help by donating a very gently used or new sleeping bag or tent, we'll connect it to an unhoused neighbor.
*Please note: we generally don't take kid's sleeping bags. Our need is for high quality, cold weather sleeping bags that can provide warmth during the coldest months.
