We're about to head into a new program year... but it's been exactly four weeks since our choir tour to Durham ended, and we couldn't resist sharing one more photo dump before we do.

An extraordinary week is coming to a close: six services of Evensong and today's morning Eucharist, sung in one of England's most beautiful cathedrals.

We are so grateful for the welcome we received in Durham, for the gift of singing in this place, for the companions who joined us on this journey, and for each other. This tour has been a such a gift from beginning to end! Thank you to everyone who helped make it possible.

Halfway through an unforgettable week in Durham! Our choir has sung three services of Evensong at the Durham Cathedral, with rehearsals in the quire and song school and quiet moments waiting in the Chapter House before each service. Between singing, we've explored York Minster, the Beamish Museum, Alnwick Castle, and Lindisfarne – soaking in centuries of history as we experience a centuries-old musical tradition.

Three more services of Evensong to go! Grateful for this choir, this journey, and the chance to offer our voices in a 1,000 year old sacred space.

EVENSONG ALERT! Join us next Tuesday, July 14, at 5pm for a beautiful service of Choral Evensong sung by the Trinity Cathedral (Columbia, SC) Choir of Girls, Boys, and Young Men. They'll sing music by Jared Johnson, Käthe Wright Kaufman, Bryan Kelly, and more. This is going to be a fabulous service - we hope you will join us for worship!

Thank you to these fabulous singers for another year of Summer Choir. We love opening up the chancel to the community every June – we already can't wait for next year! ❤️🎶
