Trinity member, distinguished musician, portrait painter, and former Chair of the Arts Commission Randall Vemer has produced a short film that won 1st place awards in film festivals around the world: Tokyo, St. Petersburg, Rome, Paris, Berlin, Calcutta, Buenos Aires, San Francisco, New York, and LA. The film is one element of a multifaceted exhibit involving 40 paintings of musicians around the world, QR codes to hear them play, Haiku poetry, a 90 page book, and instruments on display. Join us for a screening of the short film, which features original music by Grammy award-winning composer Kira Dawn Keeman Rugen, and a discussion with the creator.

Art exhibition 2022 on the theme ‘Chrysalis – Spreading Our Wings ’
A gathering of artistic expressions from Episcopal Churches of Western Oregon
The Details:
Art will be displayed Nov 20 - Feb 5 2023 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland.
Approximately 30 juried pieces will be selected for this show. All original art mediums will be accepted. Prudence Roberts will be the guest curator for this show.
Digital entries deadline October 16, 2022. Artwork suggested not to exceed 36” in any dimension
Due to space restrictions, we are only able to display a maximum of 4, 3-dimensional objects.

Each artist may submit, in digital format, up to 3 pieces to be considered for the show.

Mother and Son: Paintings by mother and son from Moscow were created as an emotional and philosophical response to the horrors of the War at Ukraine
Trifon and Elena Markov hope that these works , while telling stories of people suffering during the war, would support their friends and all people of Ukraine .

Last night Randall Vemer presented on nationwide live-stream ACLS 2022 on theme 'Responding to the Pandemic through Art'. Trinity Episcopal Cathedral (Portland, Oregon) Arts Commission presented 'Ribbons of Witness'. Projects from throughout the US were presented, including a documenting of the 700,000 White Flags exhibit on the Washington DC mall.

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Arts Programs presents RIBBONS; chosen from a nationwide call to artists. The 2022 ACLS Summer Showcase: Responding to the Pandemic through Art will be held Monday evening June 13, 2022. They will be featuring a variety of projects that in some way commemorate the pandemic. Exhibits come from across the country and include both church and civic memorials, large and small. Join at 8:00 pm ET (7:00 pm CT, 6:00 pm MT, 5:00 PT) for their annual midsummer virtual drinks and projects showcase! I produced the exhibit as a slideshow with Barber Adagio for strings accompaniment.

Join us in Kempton Hall for our newest exhibit, featuring art from the Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts.
CSIA is located on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in the foothills of Oregon’s Blue Mountains. Trinity is proud to host this exhibit, examples of which can be found in major collections, including the Library of Congress, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Eiteljorg Museum, Wellin Museum of Art, Davis Museum at Wellesley, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
