When a community shows up for a common cause, it looks like this! Over 32,000 lbs. of food was collected on Friday at the annual United We CAN Food Drive. This generous donation was shared with and . Like always, the can sculptures were creative, and folks in need are getting support. A BIG win all around! Thank you to all the companies that supported this event! We see you!

Some folks just know their calling, and that’s a special thing. Eric and his wife, Valy, have been running Flying Point Oysters out of Freeport since 2000! We’re so grateful for their contribution to this year’s fundraiser, and we know you’ll love their oysters! Check out what Eric has to say about the inspiration that led him to a career on the water!

Last Monday (8/24) we had our final Pop Up Picnic of the summer at Boyd St. Urban Farm. This was the rescheduled date, and we are so thrilled it worked out! What a turn out! Close to 200 guests enjoyed the food, music, and variety of partner tables. A massive THANK YOU to all the volunteers, sponsors, partners, and musicians who helped contribute to such a memorable summer. We saw so many old friends, made new ones, and connected over meals and conversation. And the garden settings were just perfect! We love you Portland!

Inside Wayside 2026 Has A Raw Bar! - Let’s Meet the Donating Farmers! (Pt. 1) - Greg Williams, founder and owner of Greg Williams (Yarmouth, Maine), is attending our fundraiser Inside Wayside and bringing a bunch of oysters for the raw bar! He chatted with us about oysters’ amazing filter-feeding capabilities and why he’s excited to attend our fundraiser. Furthermore, you might have noticed, but he farms on a paddle board! 🤙
Wayside Food Programs and Locker Project partnership dates back many years, and they’ve been part of Pop Up Picnics since 2018! Ailish Dennigan, their Portland program manager, chatted with us, discussing the organization’s work and why they enjoy partnering with Wayside for our annual summer picnics!

Good morning! Due to today’s wet & windy conditions, we have decided to postpone our Boyd St. Pop Up Picnic for next Monday, August 24th at 5:30pm! We hope to see you then!
