Celebrating our CEO & Founder and her powerful presentation at the NFBPA EMERGE Winter Conference! đ§Ąđ
Last week, Nicole delivered a compelling session on AI for Equity at the National Forum for Black Public Administratorsâ EMERGE Winter Conference, bringing her vision for responsible, equitable AI implementation to public sector leaders.
Her message was clear: AI isnât just a technology issue. Itâs a governance issue.
Nicole shared a governance-first framework grounded in care, accountability, and equity, empowering mid-level public servants to shape how AI systems impact their communities. The response? Standing room only engagement and an invitation to present at next yearâs annual conference.
Weâre incredibly proud of Nicoleâs leadership at the intersection of public service, equity, and emerging technology. Her work continues to demonstrate that responsible innovation starts with people, not tools.
Thank you to Leslie Goodlow and the NFBPA Oregon Chapter for creating space for this critical conversation.
This is the kind of impact weâre here for. đȘđŸâš

After six years in business serving Black causes and communities, it was an unbelievable feeling to be surrounded by new and old friends, clients weâve celebrated and worked alongside for years, and Black dreamers, leaders, and advocates.
Thank you for presenting an opportunity for each and every one of us to be welcomed home. We felt and saw that through the powerful installations and the irresistible call to join and sing down by the riverside.

Our April WSW Meetup with was a beautiful reminder of what happens when we intentionally create space for women business owners to simply BE together. We stepped away from the usual networking format and said yes to something differentâa slumber party celebration that prioritized fun, relaxation, and genuine sisterhood.
This reflection brought us back to the unforgettable moment dancing and struting down the impromptu runway, we gave ourselves permission to connect beyond business cards and elevator pitches. And the magic that unfolded? Some of the women who met that night have since become friends. Others have become business partners. All of us left with fuller hearts and a renewed sense of whatâs possible.
Look at what women can do together when we create space to celebrate, support, and truly see each other! Thank you to , , and for co-creating this unforgettable evening.
Hereâs to more moments of joy, connection, and women championing women in Portland and beyond. đ«

EARLY PR was honored to support Reimagining Public Safety Summitâa two-day gathering exploring abolitionist frameworks and community-led safety solutions.
Our team participated in sessions that invited deep questioning over quick answers, shaped event messaging and storytelling, and helped facilitate conversations where participants shared how the incarceration system has affected their families.
Beyond the event itself, we provided comprehensive campaign supportâfrom Pandora radio ads and billboard placements to securing media features like Everyday Northwest, drafting op-eds, and creating social content that educated audiences on abolitionist principles.
The summit balanced difficult conversations with meditation, laughter, and connectionâa reminder that rest is resistance. Weâre grateful to support work that centers Black voices, honors lived experiences, and reimagines safety beyond policing and prisons.
Thank you, Imagine Black, for trusting us with this transformative partnership.
This summer we were honored to support in creating a bilingual video that captures what they do best: educating and mobilizing Black and brown communities and immigrants across Oregon in the advocacy process.
Our team handled creative direction, bilingual captions, and editing to ensure this message reached everyone it needed to, because when your work centers community, every detail counts.
Thank you, Unite Oregon, for trusting EARLY PR to help tell your story.

It was such a treat to join and support our clients at for their community activation at the Juneteenth game. We witnessed something powerful: Black joy as an act of resistance and renewal.
EARLY PR proudly captured key momentsâincluding Imagine Blackâs Executive Director being honored on the field as a Community Champion. We took a fresh approach to content capture, using an interview-style video format that brought audiences right into the heart of the celebration. You could hear the excitement in peopleâs voices, feel the energy of the crowd as the Thorns scoredâit was engaging, authentic, and alive with the joy of the day.
âBlack Joy kind of sustains the movement, allows for our folks to rest, take care of themselves, recharge almost, and then get back in the resistance and fight for a better world.â â Joy Alise
From the conversations at the info table to the roar of the crowd, this day reminded us why we do this work: to amplify community organizations creating real connection and claiming space for celebration.
This is the work weâre proud to supportâcommunity power in action.

First up in our top five highlights from 2025: a momentous day for our clients at Williams and Russell CDC. đȘđâïž
After decades of community action to address the hospital expansion that demolished the bustling, historically Black Hillblock neighborhood of Northeast Portlandâleaving the corner of Williams and Russell Streets vacantâthis site finally entered a new chapter on February 28, 2025. A story of Reparative Development that would restore homes and businesses to this sacred corner.
EARLY PR was honored to coordinate media relations, event planning, speaker notes and scripting, run-of-show, and photography/videographyâproducing an incredible video documenting this historic day.
We knew the work wasnât done, but thereâs nothing quite like being surrounded by community in a monumental, emotional celebration that envisions light and a happier future during times often filled with difficult news.
This is the work weâre proud to amplify: tangible projects making the world a better placeâliterally.
