We are thrilled that Michael Pan got a deal with Mark Cuban last night for 300 K in return for 18 percent of his company, Pan's Mushroom Jerky.

Michael started his company in 2008 and we joined as his PR firm in 2017. His timing was a bit early but by 2017/18 the industry had caught up with him and retailers and consumers started to look for more plant-based ingredients and the snack aisle was his to own.

It was fun to work with Michael to craft his origin story and get the language just right in order to entice the industry and consumers to try the product. Pan's is all about trial. The umami and texture are unbeatable for a plant-based snack.

Getting stories in the Wall Street Journal, Esquire, Food & Wine, and segments on the Today Show added credibility and confidence when buyers were considering adding Pan's to their snack set. Now, the sky is the limit with the Cuban business acumen in the mix.
