Pendleton Rotary Club

Evelyn Hayes will be a Senior at Pendleton High School next year and shows poise and maturity beyond her years. She shared her thoughts on the future of agriculture and a peak into “hydroponics. She believes that hydroponics may be part of the answer to feed an ever growing world population.

Daniel Wattenberger, a former Pendleton resident, is our guest speaker on Monday, June 15th. He is heading up a "pickleball tournament" as a fundraiser in Hermiston. Please join us.

Today the Pendleton Rotary has the great pleasure of welcoming Arnaud Prevot as our newest member. Arnaud is an executive director at BMCC. He will infuse the club with his infectious enthusiasm. Please welcome him to our group!

A special thanks to the Pendleton Rotary members who volunteered to repaint the Rotary Shelter at Community Park last Saturday! The shelter is enjoyed by hundreds of locals every year.

Congratulations to Pendleton Rotary on a very successful Rose Sale! the sale netted $7635.00!!! The VIP Rose Sales Team is Jim Krout - 45 dozen, Rita Strandholm - 40 dozen, Kevin Hale - 32 dozen, Corey, Byler and Rew Law Offices - 23, Mark Mulvihill - 22 and MaryAlice Ridgway - 20. A very special thanks to John Turner to for heading up the sales and to those who help get the roses ready at Hodgen Distributing.

The funds will help fund our club's annual Rotary Scholarships for local high school students.
