Tomorrow morning's forecast 🌧️ might make it a great day to come in the Library for a little yoga - and a good story to go along with it! Register on our website calendar, bring your yoga mat if you have one (we will have a limited number of mats available) and get ready to stretch.

The Park Ridge Library Board of Trustees recognized Josh Kiem and Deepika Thiagarajan for their many years of service to the Library at their September 15 meeting. Board president Danielle Powers presented them both with a proclamation to mark the occasion and they celebrated with their favorite young library users, Thiagarajan was joined by her kids and Kiem by his grandchildren.

Thiagarajan was appointed to the Board in August 2020 and served two terms as president, one term as secretary, three terms as Library Resources chair and one term as Planning & Operations chair.

Kiem was appointed in July 2017 and served in several capacities, including one term as vice president, two terms as secretary, three terms as Library Resources chair, two terms as Planning & Operations chair, three terms as Planning & Operations co-chair and one term as Building & Grounds co-chair.

“We are grateful to Deepika and Josh for their combined 15 years of service to the Library,” said Library Director Joanna Bertucci. “Their unwavering dedication to the Library, its patrons, and the community was evident throughout their respective terms.”

The Library will be closed on Sunday, September 6, and Monday, September 7, for the Labor Day holiday. During this time the drive-thru dropbox will be closed, but the building dropbox will be open.
