Who knew your friendly, neighborhood Reference Librarian could be a fan of horror? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Well, itโ€™s true. Sarah shares her favorites here.

(Sarah, like a lot of our staff, is also very funny, which is why our marketing manager is stifling her laughter at some points in this video. Enjoy!)

Our new mobile app is available now on the iPhone App Store. If you have an Apple device, we hope you've downloaded and are enjoying it.

Unfortunately, we are experiencing a delay in the review process in Google Play. We apologize for the inconvenience to Android users. We anticipate the app will be searchable in the Google Play store in the coming days, and will announce it here as soon as it is. Thank you for your patience!

What a beautiful morning to be out in the community! We love hearing the kids call our new mascotโ€™s name (Benny!) and we appreciate the opportunity to remind readers of all ages to sign up, read, and win fun prizes. Summer Reading begins Friday, June 5!

This wraps up our National Pet Month series, featuring our staff members' adorable pets and their reading and viewing suggestions. What title would your pet suggest? Tell us in the comments!

May is National Pet Month, and the recommendations keep coming from our staff members' pets - even a beloved Bunny! What title would your pet suggest? Tell us in the comments!

Keith from our Facilities team offers some great reading recommendations that would do well in the Staff Picks displays; but itโ€™s his take on the best thing we offer at the Library that we agree with most.

May is National Pet Month, and we asked our pets for reading and viewing recommendations. This is part two of the series, because our pets have evidently been waiting a long time for someone to ask them - and not their humans - for a recommendation!

The Library will be closed on Sunday, May 24, and Monday, May 25, for the Memorial Day holiday. During this time, the drive-thru dropbox will be closed, but the building dropbox will be open.

Watch for us in the Park Ridge Memorial Day parade on Monday. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. at Talcott and Cumberland and concludes in front of City Hall.

Thank you for your patience as the work on our HVAC project continues. Temperatures in the building might be warmer than preferred this week.

In addition, Park Ridge Public Works will be pouring new sections of sidewalk outside the building this week. We are grateful to them for managing this project.

May is National Pet Month, so some of our staff members asked their pets for reading and viewing recommendations. The dogs, cats, bunnies, and even caterpillars were so ready to share that this is only part one of the photo series! All of these recommendations are available in our catalog. If you need help finding a title, ask a Library staff person, not their pet (they don't work here). ๐Ÿ˜œ
