Reminder: Election of Officers is next Saturday, June 20th!

Since we have so many new members who were not here for our last election, I wanted to share some pictures from our 2023 election so you can get an idea of what to expect.

This will be my (Kelly) 10th election, and it has always been one of my favorite days at Local 270. Please come out, vote, and bring your family. I will probably make you get your picture taken!

Whether you make a quick stop just to cast your vote or spend the day visiting with friends and family, we hope you'll come out and join us. Election Day at Local 270 has always been about more than voting. It's about fellowship, reconnecting with one another, and celebrating the family atmosphere that makes our Local extra special.

No matter who is running against who, we set that aside and enjoy being together as one Local 270 family. At the end of the day, we are all Brothers and Sisters, and that bond is bigger than any election.

We had a great time at our Retiree Fish Fry back in May! It was wonderful to see both our retired and active members come together for great food and fellowship.

A big thank you to everyone who helped cook, serve, and make the event a success. We couldn’t do it without you!

Special thanks to Kelly’s daughter Mary Beth for the amazing chalk art that added a special touch to the day.

He successfully met the requirements of the Oak Ridge Electrical Apprenticeship Program and is now officially a Journeyman Wireman.

After many years of hard work and dedication Rick has earned this next chapter of life. We thank him for his years of service and commitment and wish him and his wife, Starlene, many years of health, happiness, and prosperity in retirement.
