Absolute GIANT flounder this morning aboard Fishzilla with Capt Jason Burton This Flounder was 27 inches long and tipped the scales at an impressive 6.1 pounds. The flounder bite has been heating up, and today was one for the books. Awesome people, incredible fishing, and memories made that will last a lifetime.

We’re excited to launch the new weekly FishZilla Fishing Report with Captain Jason Burton! Every Sunday, we’ll be wrapping up the best catches, hottest bites, and what’s happening on the water here along the South Carolina coast. Be sure to check back each week and stay up to date on all the action.

This week has been absolutely on fire. The bigger flounder have officially moved into the inlet and around the jetties, and the redfish bite has picked up dramatically, especially during low tide. Spanish mackerel were thick on the reefs this week, with a few showing up right along the beach as well.

We also heard of a confirmed cobia sighting this week, which means some really exciting things are right around the corner. With the full moon cycle approaching and more migratory fish pushing up the beach, we expect the fishing to only get better from here.

We’re also going to start doing live videos throughout the week to keep everyone updated on what’s biting, current conditions, tips, reports, and all the fun stuff happening on the water.
