✨ Meet: Jackson

Jackson recently completed his MRI clinical rotation at Jackson Parish Hospital as part of his studies at ULM. During his time here, he demonstrated professionalism, engagement, and a strong commitment to learning in the clinical setting. Through this experience, he gained valuable hands-on training in MRI safety procedures, patient care, positioning, and imaging protocols while working alongside members of our healthcare team.

We are proud to recognize Jackson for this accomplishment and commend his dedication to further developing his technical knowledge and clinical skills. We wish him continued success in his academic journey and future healthcare career.💙

With the start of the 2026–2027 school year, the newly renovated Sugar Hall has reopened and now houses a new state-of-the-art laboratory for our Radiologic Technology students.

We are proud to invest in the education and professional development of our students as they prepare to contribute to the future of healthcare and medical imaging. 🩻✨

ULM just received a $2.1 million grant from the Louisiana Department of Health to strengthen rural healthcare across our region! This funding helps our College of Health Sciences by supporting three major initiatives: boosting nursing enrollment by 20 students per semester, adding a brand-new ultrasound concentration to our radiologic technology degree starting in spring 2028, and launching a nurse residency hub to support rural hospitals. 🦅

That's a wrap on Day 3 of the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists (LSRT) Annual Conference!

Our students spent the morning attending their final educational sessions before gathering for the Awards Luncheon to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of radiologic science professionals and students from across the state.

We're incredibly proud of this group for representing the ULM Radiologic Technology Program with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Conferences like these provide valuable opportunities to expand knowledge, build professional connections, and strengthen the future of our profession.

We are incredibly proud of three of our ULM Radiologic Technology students who were selected to participate in the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists (LSRT) Student to Leadership Development Program—an opportunity designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders in the profession.

LSRT Conference – Day 2

Day 2 is in full swing! Our students started the morning with the inspiring keynote presentation, "The Only Constant in Life is Change: Navigating Change in the Radiologic Sciences," followed by the LSRT Annual Business Meeting.
This afternoon, they're continuing to invest in their future by attending professional development sessions led by experts from across the profession. Every lecture is another opportunity to grow, network, and bring new ideas back to the classroom and clinical setting.
We're proud of our students for representing ULM with professionalism and enthusiasm. Keep learning and enjoy the rest of the conference!
