The USDA reorganization plan is intended to bring USDA closer to the communities it serves, yet none of the five regional hubs are located in California—the nation’s leading agricultural state.    CA-21 growers deserve the same access to USDA services as farmers anywhere else. This plan creates more distance, which is not beneficial at all to our farmers and growers.

The country deserves the corruption?

Senator Ben Ray Luján didn’t just criticize Trump and Scott Bessent, he exposed what looks like a blatant abuse of power hiding in plain sight. We’re talking about Trump-linked business deals tied to individuals the U.S. government itself has sanctioned, followed by legal arrangements that appear to conveniently shield Trump, his family, and a wide circle of associates from consequences. That’s not just questionable judgment, it looks like a system being bent to protect one man and his inner circle. And Scott Bessent’s role in this raises serious concerns. As Treasury Secretary, claiming ignorance about deals involving the sitting president and sanctioned actors is either unbelievable or disqualifying. You don’t get to oversee the financial integrity of the United States while looking the other way on conflicts this glaring. If he knew, it suggests complicity. If he didn’t, it suggests incompetence. Either way, the public is left with a government that isn’t holding its most powerful figures accountable. This is exactly what corruption looks like when it operates at the highest levels, where influence buys protection and rules stop applying to the people who write them. While ordinary Americans face real consequences for far less, Trump and those around him appear to benefit from a system that shields, excuses, and rewards them. That’s not leadership, it’s a betrayal of public trust, and it demands far more than silence or spin.
