Jerrod’s high-energy, expressive style has been so much fun for our students in jazz and contemporary classes this week. He brought out the very best in every dancer in the room, and they have all had a blast!
A professional dancer, choreographer, and educator, Jerrod's performance credits span Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disney Sea, Disney Cruise Lines, Disney Channel, Fox Theatre in Atlanta, and more. He's also spent years teaching at studios and performing arts programs across the Southeast, and it shows in how he connects with dancers in the studio.
We're so grateful he shared his time and talent with our students this week.

🌟SUMMER GUEST FACULTY SPOTLIGHT 🌟 Mobile Ballet is thrilled to welcome back JAMES BOYD as guest faculty for Week 2 of our 2026 Summer Intensive and Junior Intensive!

James is an accomplished choreographer, university professor, international arts director, and professional dancer with 24 years of experience in the performing arts. A graduate of the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and SUNY Purchase College, James has built a remarkable career performing on stages across the country and around the world — sharing the stage with Elton John, Lady Gaga, and Bruce Springsteen, and performing alongside dance icons Misty Copeland and Rasta Thomas as a principal artist with Bad Boys of Dance and Bad Boys of Ballet. He has appeared on So You Think You Can Dance and as a semi-finalist on America's Got Talent.

As an educator, James serves as a professor and Artistic Director at Troy University and Assistant Director at the DAP Festival in Italy, and is a recipient of Troy University’s prestigious Ingalls Award for Excellence in Classroom Teaching. His passion for connecting with students and pushing the boundaries of movement makes him an extraordinary instructor in the studio.

🌟SUMMER GUEST FACULTY SPOTLIGHT 🌟 Mobile Ballet is thrilled to welcome back another esteemed Mobile Ballet alum, BLAINE HOVEN, as guest faculty for Week 2 of our 2026 Summer Intensive and Junior Intensive!

Born and raised in Mobile, Blaine began his training right here at Mobile Ballet before going on to enjoy an extraordinary 20-year career with American Ballet Theatre in New York, performing on stages across the country and around the world. His impressive repertoire spans leading roles in many iconic productions, and he was honored with both the prestigious Princess Grace Award and the Chris Hellman Dance Award. Always mesmerizing onstage, Blaine's depth of knowledge about ballet also makes him an excellent instructor for aspiring dancers.

Since retiring from ABT, we are so grateful to have Blaine back home and to welcome him back to the Mobile Ballet studio as a guest instructor!

🌟 SUMMER GUEST FACULTY SPOTLIGHT 🌟 Mobile Ballet is thrilled to welcome back MADISON FENDLEY as guest faculty for Week 1 of our 2026 Summer Intensive and Junior Intensive!

A native of Dothan, Alabama, Madison trained as a competitive dancer before earning her degree in Dance from the University of Alabama, graduating summa cm laude with multiple prestigious awards. She went on to build an impressive professional career in New York City, performing in music videos, commercials, and live shows, and most notably as a swing and dance captain in The Devil Wears Prada the Musical on Broadway in Chicago. Her passion for choreography and for educating the next generation make her an extraordinary instructor inspiring dancers at all levels. Madison is currently based in Nashville, where she continues to teach and choreograph for studios and companies across the Southeast.

We are so excited to have her back in the Mobile Ballet studio this summer!

✨Madison will be teaching Jazz & Contemporary for both Summer Intensive and Junior Intensive in Week One, June 1–5
