Madison Fire & Rescue is accepting applications for the position of firefighter and we want you to get your application in. This is a career that allows you to work with a team every single day to respond to calls and make a positive difference in people's lives.

We train you, your training is paid for, and we offer a great benefits package. We support outside training conferences and classes to ensure we are up to date on the latest best practices and equipment.

We also teach our own Advanced EMT and Paramedic Program right here at Madison Fire & Rescue. The classes are paid for by us and you get paid to attend class. We cover your time off and do everything we can to ensure we are setting our team members up for success all throughout their career.

Help our Madison Professional Firefighters Association in raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser.

Breast Cancer Awareness month starts tomorrow and T-Shirts will be available!! Help us support local agencies with a purchase of a T-Shirt!
$20 for short sleeves & $25 for long sleeves. We have blue and pink colored shirts to pick from!
Available to purchase at Madison Fire & Rescue, Station 1. We accept cash, check, Venmo, and any major debit/credit cards.

🔥 Battalion Chief Chris Mankin - 24 years

Today representatives from the Travis Manion Foundation came by to recognize several of our Firefighters. They presented us with a special 25th Anniversary 9/11 medal from their Heroes Run that took place at Toyota Field on September 12th. We setup our Ladder Truck and displayed a large American Flag to kick off their race. We appreciate your support and what you do for our community.

Madison Fire and Rescue along with the City of Madison, Alabama City Hall will be having a blood drive. Come out and help save lives in our area.

Well, The 44th Madison Street Festival 2026 simply can't start without our MSF Kickoff Parade, and we are BEYOND excited because we are just 5 DAYS AWAY from the big event!

Arrive early on Saturday, October 3rd, grab a good spot along Church Street, and get ready for dancers, school bands, mascots, community organizations, and MORE!

You'll hear them coming down Church Street at 9:00 a.m., officially signaling the start of the 44th Madison Street Festival! ❤️🤍💙

And don't go anywhere when the parade ends!

🎤 MSF Opening Ceremonies will begin immediately following the parade at the Community Showcase Stage on Church Street, located in the Madison Methodist Church parking lot. Come help us officially open the festival and welcome a BIG day in Historic Downtown Madison!

❤️ PARADE MORNING PRO TIP! ❤️

If you're coming specifically for the parade, we recommend parking at Madison City Stadium and taking the short walk down Garner Street to Wise Street and into the festival.

PLEASE NOTE: If you park at CrossPointe Church and ride the shuttle between 8:45–10:00 a.m., the shuttle will be rerouted to the Wise Street drop-off because of parade road closures.

To return to CrossPointe, you'll need to use the Maple Street Shuttle Stop once normal festival shuttle service resumes.
