In life, there are only a handful of days beautifully seared into our memories. June 12, 2021 is one for me. That was the day I accepted my call to the ministry - the ministry of being Booker Joseph’s wife, lifelong girlfriend and forever partner. That day, God gave us a glimpse of what heaven will be like- radiant, joyful, filled with people of every color and hue celebrating and praising Him! As I watch this video, it feels like I am watching two movie stars in Hollywood. And that day-it almost felt just like that. But in reality, I know we are just two imperfect souls seeking to serve a perfect God and each other. I love you, Booker Joseph!

Each person has a responsibility to G O D and to another human being that once you feel the slightest bit of accomplishment within yourself, you are to first turn around and say THANK YOU L O R D/G O D and make a special effort to thank the people who helped you along the journey. Secondly, you are to find someone who needs to learn some of your hard lessons learned and attempt to make their lesson a little lighter for them. As, Hilliary R. Clinton states, “Each one teach one.” Better yet, The LORD GOD states in the big book that if we love HIM we must feed HIS sheep. I’m certain you’ve seen a child in public school whom you thought could use a little extra special attention but you were afraid to comment or give constructive criticism in fear of retaliation. You’ve heard some of the children speak loudly, use unnecessary profanity and improper English/grammar. You’ve seen them lack proper table manners. Maybe you’ve been at the gas station pumping gas and someone drove up next to you playing a genre of loud profane music that lacks professional taste as you try to continue your Bluetooth conversation on your virtual call. Or, the high schooler who drives to the gas pump with a lit cigarette in his/her mouth next to you and yours. Let’s not forget the youth that walks in the door before an adult and doesn’t respectfully hold the door for the person coming behind them. What about the gum popping during their conversation that is simply tasteless. Lastly, we all know the high schooler who occasionally uses the “N” word out loud and thinks it is ok to use in a public setting. I think that most people would agree that we have a lost generation of “I do what I want to because I can.” And you dare not correct their verbiage or you can find yourself in a verbal battle of the difference between ignorance/stupidity and lack of self respect.
Enough said, YOU GET THE MESSAGE THAT THERE NEEDS TO BE just a bit more ORDER IN OUR CLASSROOMS! IT’S OK TO TO AGREE WITH ME, YOU KNOW I’M SPEAKING TRUTH!!

Before you start your Saturday routine. Have you noticed that your skin is breaking out more since wearing a mask?

Well that is definitely the case for me. It’s bad enough that we have to deal with the stressors of the world and having facial breakouts doesn’t help.

Maskne is caused when your face breaks out from friction or dirt from your mask.

I rarely have breakouts so when I did, I decided to do some research on ways to prevent this.

Here’s what I found⬇️

1️⃣ Wash your face before and after wearing a mask
Seems like common sense right. Wrong! Most people wash there face in the morning but few wash after their mask is taken off. After you wash, be sure to use an exfoliant, one separate or included in your wash

2️⃣Use a moisturizer
Keep your skin hydrated so that your skin can remain balanced and healthy. Yes oily skin still needs a light moisturizer✨

3️⃣Little or no makeup under mask
This is where I lost all of my makeup lovers. Yes I love makeup just the same, but we need to use light makeup under our mask. We have to adjust to the times. Try going a day with out makeup to let your skin breath.

4️⃣Use a clean mask
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you can’t keep wearing that same dusty mask everyday 😂 Clean your cloth mask and wear a clean one everyday! Whoo chile that one touch my spirit right there!

5️⃣Don’t ditch your mask
Yes I know, we are all over it, but we have to continue to protect the lives of other and ourselves. People are dying and their life mattered. Just in case y’all think this is a game

If neither steps 1-5 works consult an esthetician to help you with your skin needs.

Are you still wondering if you should get a lash lift?

So most people L🥰VE lash lifts because they are low maintenance. You can wear mascara 😒 use curlers, no worrying about your makeup messing up your retention its low maintenance glam that last 6-8 weeks.

There are other reasons to lift and one is extension retention. This client has super curly lashes. A lot of people would pay for that curl. However curly lashes can wreck retention. Lash artist know it's all about that base 🎸 when applying lashes right? Curly lashes sometimes make it difficult to get a seamless bond. We used this lash lift to straighten and redirect the natural lash so when we apply her extensions in a couple of days there will be better contact with the natural lash at the base. The more contact=better retention.
