We are proud to share this month’s MVP Moment honoring Megan Madison, RN Case Manager in Port Charlotte, FL, for her courageous and compassionate response during a roadside emergency.
While en route to a patient visit, Megan was flagged down after a serious construction accident left a worker pinned by a large pipe. As the first medical responder on the scene, she conducted a neurovascular assessment, assisted with spinal precautions during transfer and provided calm reassurance until EMS arrived and he was airlifted for further care.
This MVP Moment highlights Megan’s quick thinking, clinical skill and steady presence in a critical situation. Thank you, Megan, for showing what it truly means to care from the heart.

Compassionate care doesn’t stop at the shoreline.
Reaching North Haven Island takes a ferry, precise planning and resilience through coastal weather, but that doesn't stop our team at Beacon Hospice, an Amedisys company, in Bangor, Maine.
Now, for the first time, families on North Haven have access to the gift of hospice, thanks to a team that goes above and beyond to make it happen.
“It’s not just about making the trip,” said Hospice Case Manager Miles Rogals, RN. “It’s about showing up with the same level of care and attention we give any other patient.”
