A national spotlight on the Butler Tech story.

Last week, cameras rolled at Butler Tech as our students, adult students and staff took part in filming for an upcoming educational documentary.

While filming took place at our Bioscience Center, the story being captured reaches across Butler Tech — highlighting the hands-on learning, real-world experiences and career preparation happening throughout our district.

We're excited for the opportunity to share a glimpse of Butler Tech with a national audience and showcase the people and experiences that make our story .

Documentary narrated by Meg Ryan will include pieces filmed at Butler Tech Bisociences Center Some of the many budding young career stories taking shape at Butler Tech’s Bioscience Center and other career programs will soon be part of a documentary to be narrated by Hollywood movie actress Meg Ryan.

Today is the last day to apply for the 2026–2027 Butler Tech Student Ambassador Program!

If you’re a junior who is proud of your program, enjoys helping others and wants opportunities to represent Butler Tech at tours, events and throughout the community, don’t miss your chance.

There’s a lot to celebrate when you’re starting something new!

Last week, we welcomed our newest Butler Tech employees and their families for an evening of pizza, fellowship and celebration alongside our staff and Board of Education.

It was an opportunity to recognize the newest members of our Butler Tech family, introduce them to our Board and celebrate a fantastic start to the school year.

We’re excited for all they’ll bring to our students, our schools and the Butler Tech community. Here’s to a great year ahead!

Butler Tech students aren't just learning about manufacturing. They're designing, producing and selling a product that is reaching customers across the country and around the world.

Along the way, they're gaining hands-on experience in the full manufacturing process, building technical and professional skills, and seeing firsthand how what they learn in the classroom connects to the real world.

Butler Tech high school students make, sell manufacturing product domestically and overseas High school students at Butler Tech are making an iron chip product and are the first in the history of career school system to also sell their product globally.

Talawanda HS/Butler Tech FCCLA students are putting leadership and service into action!

FCCLA adviser Kari Croucher and student chapter officers Emerson Endres, Kaley Kash and Emma Ellison recently joined Oxford Rotary to share how their chapter is building leadership skills through service, competition and connections within the community.

On Wednesday, Oxford Rotary welcomed representatives from Butler Tech/Talawanda FCCLA including adviser Kari Croucher and student chapter officers: Emerson Endres, Kaley Kash, and Emma Ellison!

FCCLA, or Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, empowers students to grow as leaders through service, leadership experiences, competitions, and community partnerships.

We loved hearing about the work these students are doing at Talawanda and throughout our community. Rotary and FCCLA share a strong commitment to service and leadership, and it was inspiring to see that commitment in action through these young leaders.

Butler Tech has earned a Five-Star Rating on the 2025–26 Ohio Career-Technical Education Report Card!

Behind those five stars are the students who show up ready to learn, the educators who challenge and support them, the staff who make those experiences possible and the families, associate schools, businesses and community partners who believe in the power of career-technical education.

This year’s results also reflect the strongest academic achievement Butler Tech has ever recorded, another reason to celebrate the work happening every day to prepare students for what comes next.

What happens when two organizations committed to creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities bring their expertise together?

For Butler Tech’s Project LIFE and Aspiritech, the answer is LIFE Link.

Developed with support from the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation, the new digital portal connects 58 Project LIFE replication sites across the United States and Canada, making curriculum and resources easier to access while giving instructors new ways to connect, share and learn from one another.

The partnership behind LIFE Link makes the story even more meaningful. More than 90% of Aspiritech’s team is on the autism spectrum, bringing their technology expertise to a project designed to support young adults with disabilities as they build skills and prepare for employment.

A chance meeting. A shared mission. And a new tool built to help Project LIFE continue to grow its impact.

LIFE Link connects Project LIFE’s growing network through technology and shared purpose A new digital platform is making resources easier to find for Project LIFE instructors while creating new ways for a growing network of programs to connect, share and ultimately better serve young adults with disabilities.

Before the first seed is planted, Madison students are already growing something pretty incredible.

Butler Tech agriculture and engineering students at Madison Local Schools are working together to design a new campus garden from the ground up. From evaluating sunlight and water access to designing raised beds and researching what will grow best, students are asking questions, testing ideas and solving real-world problems together.

And this is only the beginning.
