On November 3, 2026, voters living within the Town of Gilbert and the City of Mesa, within the boundaries of the Gilbert Public Schools district, will consider Proposition 422, a bond election that would fund maintenance and renovations at GPS schools across Gilbert and Mesa.
If approved, a portion of the funds would be designated for Patterson Elementary for proposed campus improvements, including:
Critical Facility Upgrades: HVAC System, Roofing, Fire Alarm System
Safety Site Work: Asphalt Upgrades
Technology: Security with Unified Paging System and Classroom AV Refresh
As old debt is paid off through the secondary property tax rate, new bond debt takes its place, resulting in no increase in the tax rate provided the assessed value of property remains at least at its current level. Based on current projections, the bond tax rate is expected to remain the same and/or decrease from the current rate of $0.85 per $100 of assessed value, down from $1.10 in 2021 per $100 of assessed value. This week in Art, students celebrated International Dot Day! 🟠 Dot day celebrates creativity, courage, and collaboration. Students listened to the story “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds and then made their very own self-portrait for our school-wide collaborative art piece.

Today, Patterson Elementary School came together for a meaningful 9/11 Flag Raising Ceremony. We proudly raised the American flag, joined together in song, and honored the brave first responders who serve and protect our communities every day.
We remember those we lost, honor the heroes who answered the call, and teach our students the importance of courage, service, and unity. ❤️🤍💙
