THE REZ — The entire community is on edge this week as the Supreme Tribal Elders Committee prepares to release its highly anticipated slate of June rulings. At the center of the constitutional crisis is former Powwow MC Uncle Ricky, who is currently claiming "absolute and total immunity" from last year's notorious incident involving a rogue rez dog, three missing blocks of commodity cheese, and a highly unauthorized 50/50 raffle at the community bingo hall.

Legal experts gathered around the coffee pots at the local trading post note that the Elders’ decision could reshape reservation jurisprudence for generations. If Ricky is granted total immunity from the Housing Authority and the Bingo Committee, it could set a dangerous precedent—potentially allowing any former council member to permanently park their bungee-corded Chevy Lumina directly in the fire lane of the clinic. The Elders have reportedly been deadlocked for weeks, mostly due to frequent interruptions for smoke breaks and long tangents about whose cousin is dating whom.

"We’ve been waiting since Thanksgiving for them to just make a decision," said Auntie Bev, vigorously dabbing a stack of pull-tabs while monitoring a police scanner. Good day, relatives. As many of us prepare our hearts, minds, and travel plans for the 77th Annual NACNA Convention in Oneida, Wisconsin this coming June, I wanted to share something special with you all. 🦅

We’ve poured a lot of love and respect into designing these commemorative convention pieces. The artwork honors the fireplace, the tipi, and the host nation, wrapping the wearer in the simple but powerful words: Faith, Hope, Love, and Charity. We chose a heavyweight, premium cotton blend for these shirts and hoodies—the kind of durable, comfortable fabric that feels grounding and holds up perfectly after sitting up all night in prayer or visiting around the camp.

This is a very small, limited family run. We will have a limited quantity available on-site at the convention ($45 for the shirts, and $85 for the warm hoodies). Once they are gone, they won't be restocked.
