Today, our students got up and moving with a Gallery Walk focused on revising for clarity! 🚶‍♀️📖💡

Working with partners, students rotated through stations to identify unnecessary information that should be removed from a text and explain why it didn’t belong. 🤝🔍 They practiced thinking like real editors—making sure every sentence supports the main idea and improves the writing! 🎉📝💪

💧🪙 Hands-on learning in action! 💙🐦 On Friday in STEM class, our 5th grade Jayhawks put the scientific method to the test with a water drop and coin experiment! 🧪✨

Our students made their hypotheses on how many drops of water could fit on the surface of a coin before spilling over. 💦 Then, using water droppers, they tested their predictions, recorded their results, and compared their findings to their original guesses! It was a simple experiment that sparked so much curiosity, big surprises, and great scientific thinking! 🌟 Fantastic job, Jayhawks! 🎉👏
