We LOVE celebrating Wildcats who consistently demonstrate positive character and leadership!

One way we do this is through our Super Scholar Shoutouts. When a teacher sees a student living out one of our Leadworthy Character Traits, they complete a Shoutout recognizing that student’s leadership and outstanding choices.

The celebration doesn’t stop there. Students are recognized on our morning announcements, get to celebrate with the admin team, and have their picture added to our “Building Great Character” Wall.

We believe that by recognizing and celebrating strong character today, we are helping build the future leaders of tomorrow.

Way to go, Wildcats! Keep leading, growing, and showing us what it means to have great character!

Thank you to our amazing PTO for celebrating National Play-Doh Day by sharing a special treat with every one of our Wildcats today! We loved seeing all the smiles, creativity, and excitement.

This week, our 2nd graders kicked off Module 3 in Bluebonnet Math. Our Wildcat scholars were very engaged and worked wonderfully together! Students collaborated in teams to bundle straws and skip count. They discussed different strategies with their teammates to make counting easier and more efficient.

Students also discovered that bundling 10 groups of 10 gives us 100, helping us organize and count larger quantities more efficiently. We began working on identifying the value of each digit within a number and building a deeper understanding of place value.

WHAT. A. NIGHT!

Tonight was one for the books at Lotería — Grand Family Game Night!

We loved seeing our Wilson families come together with grandparents, parents, kiddos, siblings, and friends for an evening filled with laughter, games, delicious treats, and lots of fun!

From the pan dulce and frescos to the Mexican candy spread, adorable photo backdrops, prize giveaways, and food trucks—there was something for everyone!

But our favorite part? The people. ❤️ Watching our Wilson community connect, make memories, and simply enjoy being together reminded us of what makes our school family so special.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made tonight such an incredible success! We are so grateful for our Wilson Wildcats and the families who make our community so amazing.

Our golfers took to the greens at Birdie’s today!

We are so proud of the incredible progress they’re making as they learn the foundations of golf and sharpen their putting skills. It’s been so much fun watching their confidence grow as they learn, practice, encourage one another, and celebrate each other’s progress.

We can’t wait to see all they will continue to accomplish throughout the year!

Friday, September 11th is our first Wilson Spirit Day, and we’re excited to celebrate our Wilson Wildcats while honoring the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month!

This Friday, students will have the option to:
-Dress in cultural attire that celebrates their heritage and culture
OR
-Wear jeans with a Wilson spirit shirt!

Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15th, a meaningful date that recognizes the independence anniversaries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16th and September 18th, respectively. Hispanic Heritage Month is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of our Hispanic and Latino communities.

We can’t wait to see our Wildcats showing their Wilson pride and celebrating culture, heritage, and community!
