Business Email Compromise is one of the most effective scams hitting businesses right now — and it works because it exploits trust, urgency, and the instinct to not question people in authority.
Here's what to watch for:

🔴 Emails requesting urgent payments or wire transfers
🔴 Requests that ask you to bypass normal approval processes
🔴 Slightly off email addresses — one wrong letter, an added dash
🔴 ""Don't mention this to anyone"" or pressure to act fast

The fix isn't complicated. It's a phone call. Always verify any payment request through a separate, known channel before moving money.

Scammers don't go after the biggest companies. They go after the easiest targets — and right now, small and mid-sized businesses are in the crosshairs.

Here's what we're actively seeing hit businesses:

🔴 Business Email Compromise — fake emails from "the boss" demanding urgent payments
🔴 Invoice & Vendor Fraud — real-looking invoices with altered payment details
