20 years ago I was in Seattle watching on TV as everything unfolded. I was in complete shock not knowing what was going on. A month later I made this image while in NYC on the way to my sister’s wedding. It was the closest I could get to the tower site. It was still smoking!

In 2003 I had the opportunity to photograph Gloria Steinem for Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle I always get the be the fly on the wall. She was engaging, beautiful and warm. She even asked me a question when we were in the back as I was photographing her with the donors. I was also included in a photo which I can’t find immediately. However the weird thing is that I went into my closet to find that image and when I opened the first box, these three (not sure why IG is showing the 3 and Fb is only showing 2) images were right on top in 4x6 prints. If you’ve seen the volume of negatives, slides and boxes of prints I have you’d be astonished. It was like she was calling out where the prints were. RIP Ms. Steinhem. May her memory be a blessing.

New for Eric. We took both headshots and casual portraits during the same session. It’s always a good time to update your images for LinkedIn, for your partner, a dating app or family.

Such an amazing note to get this morning. Rarely do people even say thank you or acknowledge what we do for a living. It’s a tough job. Working a lot of weekends. I just made some family and for J and her adorable pups. She’s very active in dog rescue and I was thrilled she asked me. I am always up for the challenge.

Just made some of this sweet family on one of the hottest days of the year. Very thankful for the water fountain which presented some fun shots.

This cute kiddo will be having his next weekend. Looking forward to working with this lovely family again.
