After the repeal of prohibition in 1933, Greek immigrant Angelo Chiligiris was issued the first liquor license in Decatur and started the Lincoln Square Tavern. Angelo is fondly remembered for operating a respectable establishment where his patrons would gather to relax and discuss local affairs. Gonna be a busy day in the Dirty D, so enjoy the community as a whole. Hit the Decatur Craft Beer Festival early, then snag a trolley and head to the Oakwood area for some more live music and art. Come hungry, as all Oakwood restaurants will be open, and ready to feed you...choose from Lock Stock & Barrel, SkyCity GRILL, The Winery, Head West Subs, and University Dogs!!!
