Testimony Tuesday is here AGAIN!!!!
Loretta shares with us this week how Jesus has helped her overcome her struggle with Anger, to forgive others, showing them mercy and grace just as he has shown her!!! Praise the Lord for His love, forgiveness, mercy and grace! Thanks Loretta for being an example to us all!

GIC was so great this year, and to those of you who participated with us, thank you!

However, we understand if there were some things that you missed about our recovery program last week, including our prayer request box. If you are open to sharing a request that you have, please do, so that our leaders may pray for you. Even if all you say is that you have an unspoken request, that is enough because God knows the rest. We know as the holidays approach us, it can be difficult, and we are here to pray for you.

What are you allowing to live "rent-free" in your mind?
Philippians 4:8 says: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

WHAT WE THINK ABOUT MATTERS.

Not every thought deserves a place to stay.

The thoughts we replay can shape our emotions, our reactions, our choices, and eventually our lives.

If we constantly replay the hurt… bitterness grows.

If we constantly expect the worst… fear grows.

If we constantly tell ourselves we’ll never change… hopelessness grows.

But when we begin filling our minds with God’s truth, something starts to shift.

“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable… think about such things.”
Philippians 4:8

Recovery isn’t only about changing what we do.

Sometimes God wants to change the way we think.

Today, pay attention to what you’re allowing to live rent-free in your mind.

Is it feeding your recovery… or feeding the very thing God is trying to free you from?

There will be NO CR tonight, we will be joining our Church Family in Holmes Chapel for our GIC worship service at 6:30 pm! Come meet our Missionary Families for this year! We hope to see you there!

We are set up on Sparkman Street!

God is so good and his word deserves to be spread across the nations! Our church, Decatur Baptist Church in Decatur, AL, has something called Global Impact Celebration (GIC) every year to help missionaries around the world. This next Thursday September 24, 2026, our group will be joining them to celebrate together the missionaries and the work they are accomplishing for God's glory.

This means we will not have our normal program and we encourage you to join us at the missions conference. We as leaders will be wearing our CR shirts, and if you are open to it, we would love to see you join us in your CR shirt as well!

There will be events Thursday through Sunday that you can sign up for to participate and some events have child care. If you plan to go, please check out the Decatur Baptist Church Website to sign up, and sign up as soon as possible so the church staff can get a good head count on how much to prepare for. If you do not sign up then we might run out of food or room in child care. But all are welcome and encouraged to join the celebration! We hope to see you there next week!
