Kevin Lemons and Higher Calling

Established in 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia, Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling grew from a small ministry gathering into one of gospel music’s most recognized choir movements. Founded by Kevin Lemons, the choir became known for its excellence, authenticity, and powerful message of love, unity, and spiritual growth through song. From independent releases like Destined for Greatness to Billboard-charting music like The Declaration and later Third Round, Higher Calling has impacted audiences for more than 25 years. Kevin’s groundbreaking sound and vocal vision opened doors for national and international ministry, workshops, collaborations, commercials, and shared stages with some of the most respected names in gospel and beyond. Following Kevin’s passing in January 2023, Higher Calling continues to honor, preserve, and carry forward his legacy under the leadership of Tiunna Lemons. Today, the 70+ member choir remains committed to excellence in music and ministry—carrying the sound, heart, and vision forward while reminding the world that Choirs Matter.
