Maundy Thursday is more than just a day within Holy Week, but a day we encounter Jesus and God as a servant. One who comes to us washes our feet and shows us the true humility that fosters a relationship. Not a God who demands obedience, violence, or power. Not a God that is about power and control. Not a God who is about death and destruction to get their own way. Rather a God who welcomes us, cares for us, and even eats with us. Even the very person who will betray him. Behold the one who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosana in the highest.
