Sometimes it's the smallest gestures that remind us why we do what we do. ❤️

When new patients qualify for care at the Community Free Clinic, we ask them to complete a survey about additional resources that might help meet their everyday needs...things like food, transportation, or housing.

One of our newer patients (we'll call him "Joe") came to us with one of the most severe cases of psoriasis our staff had ever seen. Thanks to the compassionate care he has received at the clinic and the life-changing medication we've been able to secure for him, his transformation has been nothing short of remarkable.

On his survey, Joe shared that access to food resources would be a blessing. Over the past few weeks, the Master Gardeners have generously donated fresh tomatoes, corn, squash, and blueberries for us to share with our patients.

Last week, Joe took some of the extra blueberries he had and he baked homemade lemon blueberry scones and brought them back to our staff.

Needless to say, there were a few emotional moments around the office.

It's a beautiful reminder that generosity isn't measured by how much we have, it's measured by the heart with which we give. We are incredibly grateful to our Master Gardeners for sharing their harvest, and to patients like Joe, who remind us every day that kindness has a way of coming full circle.

These are the moments that make the Community Free Clinic so special.

We are so grateful for this amazing community & everyone who made the Spirit of America 5-Mile Run and 1-Mile Fun Run a huge success! The support from our Sponsors, Volunteers & Participants helps the Clinic continue providing free medical care, dental care, & prescription medications to uninsured, qualified residents of Morgan County.
