When staging isn’t possible for a vacant house, I recommend virtual staging. Both images must be displayed in the MLS, but virtual staging allows the buyer to imagine furniture in a room and helps provide a sense of scale. Imagine living in a house on over a half acre of woods with a stream. A stream in which neighbors say they have seen otters. Overhead, hawks soar. At night, owls hoot. This oasis in Druid Hills is not only private and peaceful, but a pleasant walk to Emory, the CDC, coffee shops and restaurants, and a grocery store. Coming this week!
To paint or not to paint, that is the question. And the answer is almost always yes, paint! By choosing neutral paint colors, you help more buyers envision living in your home. Go ahead and paint the walls whatever you like when you’re living there, but when you prepare your house to sell, it’s a product that you want to have broad appeal.
