Once again, our Independent Living and Assisted Living residents have been keeping busy and having fun at Randall Residence – Decatur! 💙🧡

From cooling off with refreshing orange lemonade slushies during Happy Hour to enjoying puzzle time, creative painting projects, music, and relaxing manicures, there’s always something happening in our community.

Every day brings new opportunities for friendship, laughter, and making wonderful memories together. ❤️

National Chicken Salad Day, celebrated annually on June 3, honors a deli classic deeply rooted in New England food culture and grocery tradition. This date was thoughtfully selected as the day after Rotisserie Chicken Day, highlighting the delicious transformation that gives rotisserie chicken a second life as fresh, flavorful chicken salad.

Chicken salad is believed to have originated in the United States in 1863, when Liam Gray, owner of Town Meats in Wakefield, Rhode Island, first combined leftover chicken with mayonnaise, tarragon, and grapes to create the now-classic dish. The recipe quickly became so popular with customers that Gray transformed his meat market into a delicatessen to keep up with growing product demand.

🐔 Plenty of laughs during our Chicken Foot game
🇺🇸 A heartfelt Memorial Day celebration as we honored and remembered the brave men and women who served our country

Every day brings new opportunities for friendship, fun, and making memories at Randall Residence. We are grateful to share these special moments with our residents!

We had another fun-filled day in our community that ended with an amazing performance by the Sidewalk Stompers Jazz Band. Great music, lots of laughter, and wonderful memories made together!

Nothing brings a community together like a little friendly competition and great food! ☀️🍔🍌

Today our senior community hosted a Cook-Off between our Assisted Living and Independent Living residents — and what a delicious day it was! 🧡💙

The menu included:
🍔 Hamburgers hot off the grill
🥗 Pasta salad & broccoli salad
🌭 All the fixings
🍨 And to top it all off… banana splits!

We even had official judges… including a couple “guard dog” judges who made sure everything was up to standards. 🐶😂

The sunshine ☀️ was perfect, the grills smelled amazing, and the laughter and fellowship made the day even sweeter.

We love seeing our Randall residents come together to create fun memories and enjoy community life!
