Chooch loves long walks, tasty treats, and relaxing near his favorite people. 🥰 He's a little more reserved at first, but once he settles in he forms a sweet, quiet bond with his humans and loves to follow them around the house or lounge nearby.

Chooch really enjoys getting outside to explore and sniff around. He likes to keep an eye on the neighborhood and walks nicely on leash. He even likes to jog a bit when he's feeling feisty! Chooch rides well in the car and is also fully house-trained, with great manners around the home. He loves other dogs and has lived well with another dog in his foster home.

⚡️Alpha has been bouncing around his whole life, for better and for worse. His silly energy keeps you on your toes, and no one has every accused him of being boring! 🏃‍♂️ He's ready for walks and adventures any time you are. If he were a toy, he'd be a bouncy ball: a little all over the place, but always a blast.

Alpha has also bounced in and out of the shelter a lot of his life, through no fault of his own. He's been adopted and returned twice, and we're determined to find him the right fit this time. Training a puppy can be a lot of work, but Alpha is more than willing to learn! 🧠 He loves treats and catches on quickly. With a little time and effort, Alpha is going to master all of his best boy skills! 🏆️

Alpha would be perfect for an active family of any size, though his high energy might be a little much for very young kids and cats.

Starting tomorrow through the weekend, 🐾 adoption fees are waived for all senior pets (7+ years old) at PAWS Atlanta. Senior pets often get overlooked, but they make some of the best companions! Most of them have been in a home before, so you can skip the crazy puppy training days and head right for the chill snuggles. ❤️

Senior pets are ✨️golden✨️, and bringing one home has never been better! This weekend, Sept 11-13, all adoption fees are waived for senior pets at PAWS Atlanta.

Senior pets make incredible companions but often spend a longer time in the shelter. To help our senior cats and dogs stay forever young in a forever home, we're waiving the fees for our pets 7 years and older this weekend.

PAWS Atlanta will be closed to the public on Monday, September 7 for Labor Day. Our staff will still be caring for our animals, but all adoptions, appointments, and visitors will resume on Tuesday.

At 14 years old, Japan is ready for a second chance. 🐈‍⬛

Well, really, a third chance. Japan was adopted from us a while ago and was returned back to the shelter in 2021. He was adopted again a few months later, but last year, he came back to us again because his owner had unexpected health challenges. Japan knows the love of a home, and we want so badly for him to find it again. ❤️

Japan is doing wonderfully in his foster home, enjoying his catnip toys, couch naps, and his favorite tube treats. He's a perfect gentleman 🥰 and he knows the ropes: litterbox manners, dinnertime routine, greeting guests, he's got it all down to an art. Plus, his adoption fee is already covered by a secret admirer.

Japan is lucky to have had so much love in his life, and we want him to continue to know the comfort of home all through his golden years. 🚨 WE NEED PET FOOD! 🚨

We know it's only been a few weeks since we asked for your help with our Pet Food Bank, but it's already empty again. 💔 Every day we get calls and visitors asking for pet food, and it breaks our hearts to have to send people away empty handed.

Our Pet Food Bank is entirely funded by people like you. While we wish we had the ability to fill it ourselves, with the rising prices of pet food, we need to use the resources we do have to feed our shelter pets.
