Stroke treatment is a race against the clock, and DMH is ready. As a Joint Commission-designated Primary Stroke Center, we provide immediate stabilization, meet strict treatment timelines and have specialized stroke teams focused on one thing: getting you the right care fast. You and your family deserve that kind of readiness close to home.
When a stroke happens, the hospital you go to matters. That's why stroke designations exist. Our hospitals have earned Comprehensive Stroke Center (SMH) and Primary Stroke Center (DMH) designations from The Joint Commission, the gold standard in healthcare accreditation. JMH, LMH and TMH are also designated Acute Stroke Ready by the Illinois Department of Public Health. No matter where you are in our community, you're close to certified stroke care.
