Join us for a guided Beaver Complex Tour and explore one of the most unique ecosystems in Decatur. We’ll hike through the woods to visit the five beaver dams that make up the Legacy Park beaver complex and learn how these incredible animals help create thriving wetland habitats for wildlife.

Along the way, we’ll also take a look at ongoing forest restoration efforts and native plantings throughout the area.

Wednesday, July 8
9 a.m.
Meet at Cochran Hall at Legacy Park

Spots are limited and registration on CommunityPass is required.

The hike covers about 1 mile over rough terrain. While beavers are sometimes active during the day, they are primarily nocturnal, so sightings are not guaranteed.
