New D.A.R.E. pilot program reconnects Decatur students with police officers A program many adults remember from their own childhood is making a comeback in Decatur schools.

Tonight was truly appreciated.

We’re thankful for every parent and family who took the time to stop by, ask questions, and support what we’re building for the youth. That trust means everything to us.

This summer, we’re continuing that work with our B7UE LOTUS MEDIA Art Summer Camp at Gallery 37 🎨

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒This is your one-stop opportunity to connect with local community partners and sign your student up for fun, engaging summer programs that strengthen reading and math skills.

🎟️ Summer Vouchers Available for Pick-Up!
Eligible families can pick up their student’s Summer Voucher at the event. (Parents who pre-registered or attended DPS Family Empowerment Night have already been verified notified via a robocall, email, or text.) NO on-site verification this year.

For us at B7UE LOTUS MEDIA, healing isn’t just a word—it’s action. It’s creating space for our youth to step into their voice and take control of their own narratives—stories that are too often overlooked or misunderstood.

Through our Youth Media Connect program, young people are learning how to create, communicate, and move with purpose—using media, art, and storytelling to reshape how their communities are seen.

We’re thankful for the recognition and even more focused on continuing the work.

Every color carried meaning. Every mask told a story. This was our final Healing Arts session with this group from Milligan Academy — a day at Gallery 37 filled with creativity, laughter, and transformation. We can’t wait for the next group, but this one? Unforgettable!!!!
