Tension headaches are most commonly found in professions involving high levels of stress. This includes teachers, office workers, and mothers. Stress builds in the muscles and joints just beneath the skull causing a feeling of “tension” that wraps around the head and neck region. In many cases, removing restriction in the joints and trigger point therapy on the muscles can greatly decrease the prevalence of these headaches.

A study was released 17 years ago titled “The Rising Prevalence of Chronic Low Back Pain.” This study found that more than 80% of adults aged 21+ have experienced low back pain in their lifetime. Low back pain is also the 2nd most common cause of disability in America.

As a chiropractor, I’ve treated many patients who have experienced back pain for months to even years not knowing the healing power of chiropractic.

And the crazy thing is, chiropractic is a lot more simple than people think. It’s all about helping the body heal itself. The only way your body will heal the back pain on its own is if there is no interference. This includes misaligned joints, pinched nerves, unbalanced muscles, etc.
