Bad storms this afternoon and THIS happened to a fence where our big horses are. HUGE thank you to Paul Winters for coming to the rescue!!!
Morning conversation at MOONSHINE RANCH…
Rancher Phil: Suzanne, have you been feeding the geese again?
Moonshine Ranch MAMA (that would be me): Nope!
RP: well I think someone did because on Saturday there was one, on Sunday there were 2, and this morning there are 8 by the pond and over 20 in the pasture.
MRMAMA: I don’t know what to tell you. Sorry. (NOT sorry😉)
RP: Well isn’t it funny the minute you walk out the door they start squawking?
MRMAMA: Can I help it if they recognize a FRIENDLY face?
RP: You can if that friendly face is the one feeding the geese again.
Okay folks…I did NOT feed the “geese”. However, on Saturday there was only one, and that is sad in itself, so technically I DID feed that 1 “GOOSE”…singular…but I never fed the “GEESE”…plural.
This is our life folks. Me finding ways to slip things by him. Now if ONLY I could find a way to sneak two cute WHOODLE pups named BELLA and BLOSSOM who need a home, without him knowing, life would be PERFECT!!! 😂

Look at the beautiful double rainbow over MOONSHINE RANCH tonight. The colors were spectacular…the phrase “all the colors of the rainbow” became so real.

Meet the newest residents of Moonshine Ranch…Rosie and Rocky (otherwise known as Rosemary Clooney and Rocky Balboa). A local therapy program reached out looking to find a good home for these two cuties. Taylor Dutcher could NOT resist saying YES 😂 and since she’s basically running the place, here they are! Actually, it helps us because we want to have a few well trained therapy horses for children’s programs. Win-Win!🥰

Thank you to friends who love on our horses and donkeys, and then send us amazing pics of them! It never gets old. Phyllis Bates Winters you’re the only one to get a “smile” out of Claude the donkey! 😂😂
Saying goodbye to these precious donkeys was SO SO SO hard! But we have precious memories:)

Today we had to give our last hugs and kisses to Baby Hamlet and his sweet mama “PB” (short for Peanut Butter:) as they went home to live in their own pasture with Big Daddy “J” (short for Jelly:). They came to us when Baby H was a few days old so that he could grow up safely in a barn his first few months of life in this wild and crazy world.🥰 What a privilege this time has been! These two are the sweetest donkeys and if I were an awful person I would have run away with them! 😂 But they have a wonderful family so instead we just had a good ol hug fest followed by tears and said good bye for now.
