Poppi would love it if you’d pop on over and submit an adoption application for him so he can go home soon 😸

Congrats to all of our adoptions this week!

Evie, Eddie, & patches 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Everyone who has visited our Petsmart kitties, Jasper and Isis are still available for adoption. We pulled them for a kennel break.

We are so grateful to have had so many adoptions lately and hopefully many more to come!

The cats are having a blast trying to watch the squirrel!

This is often a life-long behavior kittens have when separated from mom too early. They mimic the process of kneading and suckling for milk on mom’s belly. Often on soft household items such as pillows, blankets, or my couch. lol

They do this for comfort. Olivia does this every single day, all day long.

Sometimes siblings will suckle on eachother which can damage their s*x organs.

If you notice suckling on other kittens u must wipe off the area & separate them immediately.

If your kitten or adult suckles, try finding a blanket or pillow specifically for them. Or even a soft stuffy.

Cats do this in boredom or to self soothe or just to feel better.

Olivia will probably do this every morning and every evening for life

My first bottle, baby meatball does this occasionally every few months I’ll see him doing it.

My second bottle, baby pepper, I have never caught her suckling or kneading like this.

But Olivia does this all day every day. Thankfully, she does not try to suck on Oliver and Oliver also has no interest in suckling.

A kitten who stays with mom the full length of time is less likely to suckle, but some still do for self-soothing!

Does your kitten or cat suckle?

Reminder about these sweet kittens who are in foster & need a family!

Silver has joined the crew and would love to find her special home as well so if you’re looking for a kitten or pair, these kiddos are available as well. They’re fostered near the Ross township PetSmart!

They are fully vetted and ready for a home!

We’re trying to get better pics of the larger items so we can sell ahead of the event. But whatever doesn’t get decent offers will be available at the garage sale adoption event!

There’s power tools, big tools, saw table, fishing supplies, woodworking supplies.

We have multiple electric cat litter boxes, treadmill, multiple cat kennels & other stuff for pets!

We are going to be accepting donations for this event the last two weeks of August! I’ll make the flyer for that soon!

Newly adoptable or soon to be kitties!

We have 4 cats to get fixed this week, so by next week everyone should be available to go home!

Please share so we can get homes for these kiddos!

I still have to update the side bar but the main info for each cat is accurate so if you’re interested and have a question feel free to reach out!

The final versions will be available this week and the updated ones will be sent to Petsmart for the adoption binder as well!

There’s a lot in the background but we are so excited to announce that Willow & IVORI found their forever families!

We have adopted out FIVE LONG TERM KIDDOS!

3/4 of our rooms are missing the cats who immediately greeted us. And as much as we are sad, we are so happy for them & their new families!

Congrats Willow & congrats IVORI. We will miss you girls🎉🎉🎉

An amazing update for our sweet bogie (little orange) and Paris!!

Look at their sweet faces!!!

When life gives you two amazing cats to choose between, don’t choose! Get both! Haha

It may just be the best decision ever🥹🥹🥹😍😍😍

It was so quiet in the playrooms today without Paris talking to me through the door. But I know he’s so happy to be home!!

I get told all the time how I should take any good adopter even if they’re not perfect, just to get kitties out of the rescue.

I understand cats don’t enjoy being in kennels & I also understand they aren’t getting their ideal home life at the rescue, even if they’re in the playroom.

But I also understand that rescue is temporary. Cats can live until 20 years old. So even sending a 10 year old cat home, they could spend another 10+ years there. So even if they spend a year waiting at the rescue, they could spend 10x that in a less than great home….

And the longer I spend time with a cat, the more I get to know them. I know all of our cats extremely well. Which isn’t something most rescue volunteers can say.

And I’m so grateful that we have had multiple long term (6+ month or longer) cats, finally get adopted.

And literally every single one of them was the ideal home I wanted for them.

Sammi, IVORI, & Willow had so many applications. But they weren’t the RIGHT applications.

Paris & bogie deserved a quiet, patient, understanding adopter. And that’s exactly what they got!

Missy was adopted once, and left on our porch without notice. And she got the perfect second chance adopter this time!

Jelly was overlooked even though he was the sweetest boy ever! But his new family knew he was the one!

I don’t think holding out for the right adopter, turning down a bunch of applications, or keeping a cat a little longer is a bad thing.

It’s up to us to make sure the home they go to is the right home. It’s traumatic for them to come back to the rescue after free roaming in a home. We’ve had cats returned that were completely different cats once we got them back. Don’t rush a cat to go home just to have a large chance they could be returned. Especially when there is a right home for every kitty. It just may take more time.

Congrats to all of our adoptions & all of our kitties. We all love you so much and hope you have a good life! Our playrooms lost 3 of our favorite kitties yesterday and I am so happy for them!
